Lima Game: Our Morning Adventure

The chilly morning greeted us with the Lima Game. Here we had to find our way around the city and visit specific landmarks.
  • Kennedy Plaza (cat park)
  • Riding Peru bus system
  • Plaza Mayor-Government Place & Church of San Francisco (pictured below)
The yoga meister Christian "Gallito" Allaire, found a spiritual connection with like minded individuals on the local train. They came to be be called the "Spiritual Four"

The Catacombs - Over 20,000 people buried there.

The meal at the local restaurants after our endeavorers

Our group set out to find the landmarks as quickly as possible. We walked through the beautiful Miraflores Neighborhood and got on public transit. The bus was clean and the people were extremely friendly despite being packed in like sardines. Upon traveling Lima via Peru public Transit with the help of photographer Javier we made it to the Plaza Mayor. It has a beautiful church and is home to the Palacio del Gobierno (Government Palace).

We then visited the Catacombs in the Church of San Francisco with a guided tour before finding our way to lunch. The game was a great way to force us to navigate the city like locals and learn more about the rich cultural heritage before us.
